UM Motorcycles opens its fifth dealership in India and first in Mumbai.

UM Motorcycle has opened its fifth dealership in India. The first of its kind in Mumbai, the new UM Motorcycle dealership is situated at 7/8 Borkar Compund, on Western Express Highway, near Magathane at Borivali East.

Catering to customers in the area and giving them an all round experience of sales, service and spares, the new UM Motorcycles dealership in Mumbai is spread over an area of 2,900 sq. ft. It includes a display area as well, to showcase the different motorcycles on offer.

UM Renegade Commando

UM Motorcycles offers two cruiser bikes in India that include the Renegade Sport S priced at INR 1.50 lakhs and the Renegade Commando priced at INR 1.69 lakhs. Both these cruiser bikes receive a 279.50cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine offering 25 bhp peak power and 21.80 Nm peak torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

Both these bikes are on display at the Mumbai dealership and available for test rides with deliveries set to commence from early next month. Since debut at the 2016 Auto Expo, UM Motorcycles has received over 3,000 bookings for each of these models.

UM Renegade Classic

The company seeks strong performance in India and considers India as one of its leading markets over the next few years. Set to compete with all premium motorcycle brands in India, UM Motorcycles has entered into a joint venture with Lohia Auto with a plant at Kashipur, Uttarakhand with capacity to produce 50,000 units.

  • UM looks beautiful but I find it too small for the price being asked. Maybe I expect things to be cheaper than usual but if you compare it with many other bikes in the market in the same 300 – 400 cc segment, you may find it expensive too.
