UM Motorcycles has inaugurated its first dealership in Delhi at Connaught Place. In an attempt to build a strong brand image, the American two wheeler maker has come with a nice theme for the showroom’s interiors.
The brand’s origin in the USA is being highlighted in almost all the appointments. The display area looks more like a pub or a restaurant with motorcycles placed as ornaments.
A corner of the display room also has the official merchandise (such as riding jacket, helmets, boots, bags, etc.) on display. In short the whole setup celebrates the spirit of riding.
On display on UM’s three models – Renegade Classic, Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S. The Classic is priced at INR 1.69 lakhs, Commando retails at INR 1.59 lakhs and Sport S would set you back by INR 1.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The cruisers are being manufactured locally at Lohia Auto’s (UM’s Indian partner) facility. The brand will focus on cruisers in the first phase of operations in India before bringing compact sportsbikes.
UM Motorcycles earlier announced that it will start operations with 25 dealerships across the country soon. Deliveries of first 500 units will commence this month. The brand has already garnered over 1,000 bookings so far.
