UM Renegade debuts at 2016 India Bike Week

Goa: After being launched at 2016 Auto Expo, UM International’s Indian arm UM Motorcycles in association with Lohia Auto displayed Renegade Commando and Sport S at 2016 India Bike week.

Rajeev Mishra, Director UML was glad to head to the bike fest following an overwhelming response at Auto Expo. Competition is a given seeing that UM Motorcycles have introduced bikes that combine design, style, technology, innovation and affordability. The company is now operating 50 dealerships in India.

Renegade Commando low-slung cruiser gets power from a 279 cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine with max power at 25 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, mated to a six-speed transmission. The cruiser wears wide handlebars and hydraulic telescopic front suspension and is available at a price of Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

Renegade Sport S uses the same engine. Both bikes have an electric start, and air filter with paper element innovation. A six-speed synchronized mesh gear box facilitates easy cruising. The front wheel has telescopic suspension. Rear wheel has dual shock absorbers. Renegade Sport S is available at a price of Rs 1.49 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
