UM Xtreet 180R compared with Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache and Yamaha FZ on official website

United Motorcycles Global or UM Global, the US motorcycle manufacturer based in Miami, is on the verge of starting India operations. To launch motorcycles priced in the range of INR 75,000 to INR 1.5 lakhs, UM Global has started sharing details on social media platforms. One of the motorcycles which was highlighted, is the UM Xtreet 180R.

UM Global is offering some segment first features on the new Xtreet 180R. These will include Blind Spot Mirrors, LED lighting, Anti-Flat Sealant tyres and Digital Dashboard all of which are factory installed and yet unseen in a bike of its class. The one feature that stands apart on United Motors Xtreet 180R is Keyless Anti Theft System that allows the rider to automatically start and stop the engine when near the bike.

UM Xtreet 180R is powered by three engine options, but it is the 180cc variant that will be launched in India. This is a 179.9cc single cylinder, four stroke, air cooled engine offering 15.4 hp power at 8,500 rpm and 13.5 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. The bike receives disc brakes both at the front and rear and weighs the lightest in its segment with total dry weight of 129 kgs.

Xtreet 180R is a naked roadster that will compete head on with the Yamaha FZ-16, TVS Apache 180 and Bajaj Pulsar 180

Many biking enthusiasts in India are awaiting further details on the launch of UM brand in India. For now, the brand is sourcing partners to setup a vast dealer and sales network which will help the brand grow very fast in India.
