In 2025, Tata marked major milestones, including the launch of all-new Sierra, Harrier EV and turbo-petrol engines for Harrier and Safari. 2026 is expected to be just as exciting, as multiple new products and facelifts are scheduled for launch. Avinya Fastback

This will be Tata’s first luxury electric car, based on a platform derived from Jaguar Land Rover’s new EMA (Electrified Modular Architecture). Avinya fastback will feature a sporty low-slung design, making it unmissable on the streets. It is also designed for practical applications, offering roomy interiors and adequate space for all passengers.

Avinya benefits from JLR’s EMA born-electric platform, which comes via a major technology transfer agreement within the Tata Group. The EMA platform will be utilized by next-gen JLR models such as the Evoque and Discovery Sport. Avinya’s architecture will be localized to boost production efficiency and reduce costs. In the initial phase, Tata has plans to produce around 24,000 units of the Avinya fastback per year. SUV based on the Avinya platform are also under development.

Sierra EV

All-new Sierra has received an overwhelming response with over 70,000 bookings in just 24 hours. Building on this success, Tata will be introducing the Sierra EV in 2026. It can be a great addition to Tata’s electric portfolio, with potential to emerge as a new growth driver. Tata already leads in the EV segment with cumulative sales recently crossing 2.5 lakh units.

Sierra EV will have the same rugged character as its ICE sibling. It will also have a distinctive profile, featuring a more polished appearance across the front fascia. Specs for the Sierra EV have not been revealed. It is possible that the electric powertrain could be borrowed from the Harrier EV. A dual-motor AWD option could also be offered with the Sierra EV. Inside, the equipment and features are expected to be borrowed largely from the ICE Sierra.

2026 Punch facelift, Punch EV facelift

Punch and Punch EV are among the bestselling Tata cars. Collectively, the Punch and Punch EV contribute close to 1/3rd of overall monthly sales. Both variants will be getting a facelift in 2026. Based on spy shots, the front fascia is expected to get a fresh new look. Changes are expected across the lighting elements, grille design and front and rear bumpers. New alloy wheels could also be introduced with the Punch facelift.

Inside, the Punch facelift could get a new steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, a refreshed dashboard and ventilated seats. Level-2 ADAS features could also be introduced. Powertrain options are expected to remain unchanged for Punch facelift. Most of the equipment updates introduced with the Punch facelift will also be available with the Punch EV. The latter could also get some exclusive features.
