Vardenchi T5, Moto Morini Scrambler, Granpasso: Auto Expo

Vardenchi Motorcycles from Mumbai have introduced Vardenchi T5 and two Italian motorcycles from Moto Morini, 1200 Granpasso and 1200 Scrambler at the 12th Auto Expo in Greater Noida. Apart from the three exclusive bikes, the Vardenchi pavilion also had Bollywood and South India star actor, Sameera Reddy in attendance.

T5 Custom Roadster receives cruiser styling and comes in with a white and orange color combination. It receives a trellis frame and LED head and tail lights while it is powered by an engine from Moto Morini in the form or a 1187cc V-Twin unit. It receives Marzocci USD forms and Ohlins shocks while it sits on 19” wheels in the front and 17” spoke wheels at the rear. The T5 is being designed and developed by the company in Mumbai while engine is being imported from Moto Morini of Italy.

Vardenchi’s T5 Custom Roadster is priced at approximately in the Rs 8 – 12 lakhs range and once officially launched in India will compete with established brands which include Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Honda and Suzuki. Vardenchi hopes to sell around 600 units of T5 per annum going upto 2000 units over the next five years.

Vardenchi T5 roadster at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo 3Granpasso 1200 is an adventure series with V Twin oversquare engine while Scrambler, also on display at the Auto expo is an all terrain crossover. Granpasso will receive Marzocchi Upside Down forks and Ohlins mono shock absorbers.

Both these bikes will come into India via the CBU route while prices for the Moto Morini Scrambler 1200 motorcycle and the Granpasso 1200 will be in the range of Rs 27-32 lakh.     Vardenchi T 5 looks like a piece of white shit… waste of a good engine. 12 laks for that hideous bike? look at the frame design… ENg students come up with better designs and build
