The Volvo Group and Eicher Motors (VECV) JV formerly inaugurated a new dealership outlet at Begusarai in Bihar. This dealership has been integrated with the 3S plan which ensures that sales, services and spares will be made available to their customers without delay.
The modern dealership outlet has been set up on an area of 17,000 sq ft and boasts of a contemporary design. It has also been outfitted with tools and equipments suited for various servicing and repair jobs. The service team stationed at this outlet is well trained to undertake any type of work on Eicher vehicles. The first Eicher vehicle was rolled out over 25 years ago and since then; the company has improved its portfolio by integrating a number of CV assets.
Apart from its 5t to 40t trucks, Eicher also manufacturers 16 to 65 seater buses for various needs. Through a wide network of dealerships (250), service vans at all dealerships, a 24×7 support centre and easy availability of spares, this company has ensured that it provides quality customer service pan India. Through January 2013, Eicher branded trucks and buses sales growth stands at 0.8% with 3736 vehicles sold as compared to 3708 units sold in January 2012.
For the India CV Market ( 5T and Above), Eicher branded trucks and buses sales stands at 3638 vehicles when compared to 3551 units sold in Jan 2012, equating to 2.5% sales growth. Bus sales stood at 506 units when compared to 365 units sold in Jan 2012, and equates to 38.6% sales growth. Heavy Duty truck segment sales were recorded at 674 units for January 2013 as compared to 579 units in Jan 2012, equating to 16.4% sales growth.
