Vespa Urban Club range of new scooter launched – Price Rs 72k

Urban dwellers can now have some more fun and excitement in their daily commutes, as Vespa Urban Club has just been launched by Piaggio at a price of Rs 72,190 (ex-showroom, Pune). Vespa’s newest trendy scooter comes in a sleek package and features an innovative design that will definitely appeal to the young generation. Vespa Urban Club is now the most affordable scooter in Piaggio’s portfolio and will be offered through Vespa and Aprilia showrooms across the country.

Vespa Urban Club shares much of its mechanicals with Notte, which is an all-black edition of VXL 125. It is built on a monocoque full-steel body construction. Suspension system at the front is a single side arm unit that comes with anti-dive characteristics.

At the rear, Urban Club has dual-effect hydraulic shock absorber. Braking duties are performed by 150 mm drum brakes at the front and 140 mm drum brakes at the rear. CBS is offered as standard, which improves overall braking performance.

To make Urban Club stand apart from other products, Vespa has implemented a blacked-out theme for the scooter. It can be seen in the blacked-out rear-view mirrors, brake levers, suspension, grab rail and wheels. Urban Club comes with a simple, yet elegant seating, which has been designed to provide optimal comfort to users.

Vespa’s range of mobile connectivity features will be offered as an option with Urban Club. Connectivity features can be used for various needs such as booking a service, navigation, panic alert, filing complaints and purchasing merchandise.

Powering Vespa Urban Club is a 125 cc engine that generates 9.5 bhp of max power @ 7250 rpm and 9.9 Nm of max torque at 6250 rpm. Engine is mated to a continuous variable transmission. Vespa Urban Club is being offered in a range of vibrant colours, which add more oomph to its snazzy profile. Users can choose from glossy red, glossy yellow, maze grey and azzurro provenza.
