On the engine front, the new scooter gets the same 125cc, single cylinder, 3 valve, four stroke engine offering 10.06 PS at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm mated to a variomatic (variable automatic) transmission. A top speed of 100 kmph will be achieved by this model while it will have a kerb weight of 114 kgs and fuel tank capacity of 8.5 liters. A striking feature to be seen in the upcoming model is its steel monocoque which contributes to better rigidity while the vehicle retains its single sided suspension seen in the Vespa LX 125.
Additional features such as front disc brakes, tubeless tyres, choice of a beige colored seat, and an extended grab rail for better support, are on offer in the new Vespa VX 125. The model is expected to make its way into markets at the end of June with which the company hopes to increase market share.
