Furious 7 will probably win Oscar for Best movie – Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel is quite hopeful for Furious 7 to be winner of best picture at 2016 Oscars. Pegged as Universal’s biggest movie ever, Furious 7 could win the best picture award, suggests Diesel in an interview with Variety.
Though judging from the Academy past history of not awarding best picture award to a franchise, this win is highly unlikely (Harry Potter, Batman). Furious 7 made its debut at South by Southwest (SXSW) Conferences & Festivals where it was given a thumbs up by audience. The movie will be out in theatres across the globe on April 3, 2015.
Furious 7 will star Paul Walker as Brian O’Connor for the last time. Remembering his friend, Vin Diesel has even named his new born daughter after Paul and called her Pauline. Pauline was born to Diesel and his girlfriend Paloma Jiménez, 31. The new family member is the couple’s third child after Hania Riley, 6, and Vincent Sinclair, 4.
At the birth of his new daughter Diesel could only remember Walker and their friendship which spans 15 years. He has named his daughter Pauline after Walker so that his memory can continue to live on through her. Pauline may not be old enough to watch the upcoming movie, Diesel is already excited to tell her stories of his friend Walker, and how she was named after him once she is old enough.
