Arguably the best batsman in the world today, who is also the Captain of the Indian Test Cricket team and IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli is excited about being one of the 99 owners of this all powerful and fastest Audi to date. Virat is currently busy with IPL 3, where his team won the last match against Kings XI Punjab by a mammoth total of 138 runs. His team, RCB is on the fourth spot of the league table with 11 points, with Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings on top with 14 points.

Coming back to Virat’s love for fast cars, R8 LMX is not his first Audi. Kohli also possesses an Audi R8 and Q7. About two years ago, Virat had taken his RCB mate, Chris Gayle out for a drive in his Audi R8 V10, which is still in his possession. See the video below.

Like Virat Kohli, the Audi R8 LMX exudes sportiness, competitiveness and progress. The limited edition is the first production car with laser high beam lighting in India. It is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 engine offering 570 bhp peak power and 540 Nm peak torque mated to a 7 speed S Tronic gearbox. The R8 LMX can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 320 kmph.

In India, Audi R8 LMX is priced at INR 2.97 crores. It sports an ‘Ara blue’ crystal effect exterior paint and sits on 19” 20 spoke Motorsport design alloy wheels while sound system is from Bang and Olufsen. The first car to be equipped with Laser High Beam Lighting the R8 LMX has laser spot for higher visibility range.

These lights are activated at speeds of 60 kmph and above and generate a cone of light with twice the range of the LED headlight. An intelligent camera based sensor system detects road users while the system allows light patterns to be adjusted so as to avoid dazzle.
