Volkswagen Cross Up!: Will you look for it at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show?


Volkswagen is getting set to showcase its new Cross Up! at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show which will take place from March 7-17, 2013 at Palexpo Convention Centre. The company has revealed this version ahead of the show where it is seen as a five door model.

volkswagen Cross Up revealed before Geneva Motor Show 2013 17-001All models will be front wheel drive while its engines will be same as the one’s seen on Up! small car- a 1.0 liter, three cylinder engine with two varying outputs of 74 bhp and 54 bhp. The engine will be mated to a five speed manual gearbox driving the front wheels. Cross Up! will come in at a starting price of €13,925 (US$18,600 or INR 10 lakhs) in Germany.

As against the standard Up!, this upcoming variant will get plastic wheel arch protectors, chunkier bumpers and roof rails along with 16” alloy wheels shod in tyres of size 185/50. Interiors are seen with unique upholstery and chrome fittings. The new Cross Up! will be revealed at the 83rd Geneva Motor Show after which the vehicle will go on sale across markets in Europe from late summer. Interiors will be enhanced in red or dark gray with matching dashboard finish, leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knobs and handbrake. There are a variety of chrome accents seen on vents and speedometer and door sills.
