As a part of its ongoing move to increase customer satisfaction and service quality, Volkswagen India has inaugurated first of its many Express Service facilities, at its Coimbatore dealership. The Volkswagen Express Service is similar to Ford’s QuickLane concept in the way it executes routine service swiftly.
VW has not specified the time taken by the new facility to service the car but has said that the service would include basic checkups, filter and oil change, tyre rotation, battery checkup and washing. The facility is claimed to reduce the car’s downtime and the service centre’s productivity and efficiency significantly.
VW Coimbatore (Ramani Cars) now has 44 work bays and 75-car parking lot to facilitate Express Service. The infrastructure has a capacity to service 2,500 cars per month. The layout and service equipment are at par with VW’s global standards. VW introduced Express Service concept internationally in 2011 and is in the process of setting up more such facilities across the globe.
Following the Coimbatore showroom, Volkswagen Express Service centre will be expanded to Chennai and Gurgaon. Customers can drive in, opt for Express Service, wait at the lounge and drive out in their serviced cars at no additional costs (over regular service).
