Volkswagen Passat Connect India launch price Rs 25.99 lakhs – Rivals Skoda Superb

Volkswagen Passat Connect offers state of the art advanced telematic solutions to customers thus ensuring a seamless connected car experience which is first in its segment. This new Volkswagen Connect app allows user to connect their car to their smartphone via a ‘Plug and Play’ data dongle which is fitted to the diagnostics OBD port of the car.

The app allows customers to experience advanced connected features such as trip tracking wherein users can track every trip via the smartphone; fuel cost monitor to keep a tab on trip wise or monthly fuel costs; driving behavior in terms of acceleration, braking, engine speed and temperature etc, and location sharing signaling the last parking location.

The SOS calls enable customers to directly connect a call to the helpline via the smartphone while the service appointment app informs the dealers when the car is due for a service while the dealer can connect with the user offering an appointment at an appropriate time. The Connect app is offered on both Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded from the Google Play and App Store respectively.

Launched ahead of the festive season in India, Volkswagen Passat Connect sees luxurious interiors with Nappa leather seats, electrically adjustable front seat, easy open boot and other premium fixtures. It also gets a host of safety features with 9 airbags, hill start assist, auto hold, reverse camera with 360 degree view, park assist and dynamic chassis control.

New Volkswagen Passat Connect sees no change in engine specifications. It continues to be powered by a 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine offering 177 hp power and 350 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

Fuel efficiency stands at 17.42 kmpl with the new Think Blue Trainer offering driver advice on improving driving efficiency. Launch in India will see the new Volkswagen Passat Connect compete with the Skoda Superb and the Toyota Camry Hybrid.
