Volkswagen Polo Original special edition is launched in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Volkswagen Polo was first released in 1975. Till today, there are over 14 million Polo have been sold across the world. To celebrate 40th anniversary of this car, Volkswagen has launched a new Edition, called the Volkswagen Polo Original.

Limited to just 1,000 units, Volkswagen Polo Original will be presented with 6 engine-gearbox variations and priced at € 19,950 (Rs 13.94 lakhs). This means, not only the Polo Original is a limited edition, it also offers a price advantage of €1,119 (Rs 78,211) when compared to similarly equipped variants.

Sporting exclusive Honey Orange Metallic paintwork, the five door Polo Original will receive special features to set it apart from regular Polo. These include exterior mirror caps, tinted tail lamps, LED headlights, black glossy grille and 16” alloy Portago wheels while a distinct Polo ‘Original’ emblem is fitted on fenders with a unique script on door sills.

Interiors are spruced up with a leather finished multifunction steering wheel, gear lever knob and handbrake grip. Sports seats are seen with plaid pattern inserts and faux leather side bolsters and headrests.

On board equipment includes Climatronic climate control and Bluetooth and MEDIA-IN socket while safety features will be in the form of rear view camera and Front Assist with City Emergency Braking System which not only reduces, but is capable of eliminating possibility of collision altogether.

Considering the rich history of Polo, and its availability across major markets in the world, there will be many Polo fans who would want to own this. Sadly, the Original edition is for sale only in Germany.
