Volkswagen Polo connects with India through car and motorsport

Volkswagen recently launched Polo GT with its TSI petrol engine is seen to offer improved performance as compared to the earlier 1.6 liter Polo. This turbocharged engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch auto DSG gearbox seen for the very first time in Indian markets on a hatchback. This super powered engine is turbocharged direct booster and capable of 105 ps power and 174 Nm torque.

Volkswagen Polo GT TSI is seen as a keen competitor to the Skoda Fabia 1.6 liter petrol, Tata Indica Vista D90 and Hyundai i20. The DSG gearbox has three modes – automatic, sport and manual. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 kmph. As per ARAI’s fuel efficiency figures the Polo GT TSI is capable of 17.2 kmpl. It is available in three color options Candy White, Flash Red and Deep Black.
