With the motto “One brand, one team, one challenge”, a total of about 40,000 personnel partook from 80 countries at national levels. The 4 days of competition sees about 300 personnel travel to Wolfsburg for the RQWC international finals. The competition is in its 5th year. Held by Volkswagen for its partners’ employees, national finals are held at a country level, and the grand winners then meet at the international finals. Tests include theoretical and a practical section in the final.
RQWC international finals will be held across Volkswagen Sales and Service Academy stations in Kästorf, whereas the team task at the ADAC Driving Safety Centre ground in Hanover. Those visiting will take a plant tour, and be received at the Autostadt visitor attraction. About 100+ supervisors, largely native speakers from participating countries take charge of looking after competing teams.
In all, about 400 individuals will be hosted by VW at the international finals. Apart from world champions among service advisors, sales persons, parts advisors, and master technicians, top employees from the world regions will also be awarded. For this, about 60 teams compete this year to take home the best national team prize for the 1st time ever. A true team activity, combined efforts will count as against specialist knowledge of individual team members.
RQWC aims at continual improvement of quality and customer satisfaction, and gives those involved an insight into training levels at Volkswagen’s partners worldwide. The set of activities further allows VW to tailor training programmes based on patterns in individual markets, in maintaining top quality retail level globally.
