February 14th and 15th will mark dates for the first round of Volkswagen Vento Cup driver selection for 2015 season. The venue is Indy Karting Track in Kharadi, Pune. Drivers participating in this series will be selected on their performance through Go-karting rounds which are to be held this weekend.
Registrations for those who have missed out on Volkswagen Vento Cup driver selection round are still open, offering budding racers in India a final chance to register for the first round of selections. Go-Karting rounds will be a part of the selection process which will be conducted by Rayomand Banajee, ace Vento Cup driver coach and national racing and karting champion.
Participants in Volkswagen Vento Cup 2015 selections will have to pay INR 5,000 besides a refund deposit for damage costs. They will be instructed on the selection process while Banajee will offer them in-depth knowledge on how to maximize your potential on that day. Participants for Volkswagen Vento Cup driver selection round 1 will be judged on skill, consistency, understanding of racing techniques, speed, lap time and learning abilities.
Following this initial round, the second round of Volkswagen Vento Cup driver selection will be conducted on February 28 and March 1, 2015. Drivers selected from both the rounds will go on to participate in 2015 Volkswagen Vento Cup which will commence later this year and which will take place at different racing circuits across India.
