VW Vento Preferred Special Edition launched with new features

Volkswagen offers Indian customers a special edition of the Vento in an attempt to push their product in a spotlight. The new Vento Preferred Edition will be available on all Comfortline variants of the Vento, MPI, TSI, TDI and TDI DSG.

Designed for corporate executives, it comes with Alloy wheels, roof foil, side moulding, high quality leather seat covers and a portable navigation device equipped with a wireless rear view camera. VW India has not revealed price.

The windshield mounted Navigation device shares screen with a new reverse parking camera. Free first year insurance and 4 year Road-Side Assistance (RSA) can also be availed. Speaking to a dealer in VW India dealer in Coimbatore, we can reveal that all these accessories are offered by the dealerships for under Rs. 70,000 overall. Customers can choose the ones they want and pay for those alone.

Both Comfortline petrol and diesel engines are available in the Preferred Edition. Engine options include 1.6-litre petrol generating 105 PS and 153 Nm along with 1.5 liter diesel generating 110 PS and 250 Nm. Transmission options on offer are 5 MT and 7 DSG auto. VW India aims that this new edition of Vento will help them boost Vento sales.
