Volkswagen is celebrating Welcome Days in a bid to welcome 500 new employees to their fold. This is a novel way in which the company will welcome 300 Sales and Marketing entrants and 200 newcomers in the Human Resources Departments. While one such Welcome Day is already celebrated on June 25th and 26th for the HE entrants, the second such Welcome ceremony is being conducted on June 28th to 30th wherein the 300 Sales and Marketing entrants will be greeted by the company.
Dr. Horst Neumann Board of Management member for Human Resources along with Christian Klinger, Group Board Member for Sales will be instrumental in welcoming these 500 new employees who joined the company over the past year.
These candidates will be put through a series of presentations by top experts on topics like intercultural skills, product marketing and compliance while visits will be conducted to various VW factories and to the Autostadt. These Welcome days will go a long way in making the new employee feel wanted and will strengthen his feeling of loyalty to the company.

Wolfsburg, 26 June 2012 – This week, the Volkswagen Group is holding Welcome Days for some 500 new employees from all over the world, about 200 from Human Resources and around 300 from Sales and Marketing. The young employees joined Volkswagen during the past year and will be finding out more about their vocational groups and the Volkswagen Group headquarters during the event. The participants will be welcomed by the Group Board Members for their respective vocational groups, Dr. Horst Neumann and Christian Klingler.
Dr. Horst Neumann, Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft Board of Management Member for Human Resources, said: “We are greeting our new employees from Germany and the world with the Welcome Days. The Welcome Days program for new employees from Sales and Marketing includes presentations by top experts on themes such as intercultural skills, product marketing, compliance and brands. Other top expert presentations for the international HR employees include contributions on top personnel work, personnel development and co-determination. The program also includes factory tours and visits to the Autostadt. The Welcome Days for HR employees take place at the AutoUni in Wolfsburg on June 25 and 26, 2012, the Welcome Days for Sales and Marketing employees are being held at the same venue from June 28 – 30, 2012.
