The development is part of a Public Private partnership (PPP) with Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC). Five Volvo 9400 intercity coaches were handed over by Anna Johansson, Swedish Infrastructure Minister. With more Volvo 9400 intercity coaches servicing UTC routes, connectivity in the region stands enhanced. The new coaches will be operated under the PPP scheme.
In all, Volvo Buses has delivered ten Volvo 9400 intercity coaches to Great Value. The second batch of five buses was handed over at a ceremony organised at Volvo Bus factory in Bangalore. Jasdeep Kaur Chadha, Managing Director, AB Corporation accepted the key. Ambassador of Sweden to India, H.E. Harald Sandberg flagged off the bus.
