Volvo and AT&T multi year agreement for car connectivity in US and Canada

AT&T and Volvo Cars have entered into a new multi-year agreement to enable high speed wireless connectivity in future Volvo vehicles in US and Canada. Volvo’s US 2015 model year connected car solution will see AT&T’s Sensus Connect, an embedded infotainment service. US and Canada Volvo customers will have access to Volvo On Call, which facilitates remote access to car functions and an emergency crash notification service.

Volvo Cars Sensus connectVolvo plans to enable cars with AT&T on-board for sale this summer. Telematics leader, AT&T at present provides varied vehicle solutions to automobile manufacturers globally. Volvo’s solution incorporates AT&T’s Single SIM platform to provide coverage in the U.S. and Canada.

Single SIM, coupled with AT&T Control Center service management platform is powered by Jasper Wireless and lets Volvo manage wireless device deployment and operations with advanced diagnostic tools and smart alerting.
