Volvo is all-set to take the veil off their new flagship sedan, the S90. To rival the likes of Mercedes Benz S Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series, Volvo S90 will be unveiled in a few hours at a gala event in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Teased via a few images in the last few days, Volvo S90 has been inspired by their Concept Coupe which Volvo showcased at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Built on their new SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform, S90 has also been leaked via scale model images that surfaced online a few weeks ago.
To replace the ageing S80, Volvo S90 features a Thor’s hammer LED DRLs, new grille with a large Volvo logo in the centre (like the one in XC90), new alloys, chrome strip outlining the window, sloping roofline, C shaped LED tail light, dual exhaust and a short rear overhang.

Features on offer will include Bowers & Wilkins music system, large touchscreen infotainment system which also acts as display for rear camera, navigation, controller for AC, blowers, car settings and much more.
Powering the new S90 will be a range of Volvo’s new 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol and diesel four cylinder engines. These engines will be mated to a 8 speed transmission. These engines are Euro 6 compliant and offer power output in the range of 190 hp to 407 hp.
