Designed and developed in Sweden, Volvo V90 Cross Country is capable of tackling the most rugged of terrain and the most adverse climatic conditions. It has proved its stance in a land where 77% of the region is covered by forests and lakes while it has been put to the test in weather conditions ranging from as low as -40 degrees centigrade to heat which rises above that seen in the Arizona desert.
Now, this capable machine has been launched in India at a starting price of INR 60 lakh, ex-Delhi. Below is a short video detailing the new V90 Cross Country.
Volvo V90 Cross Country sees an increase in height to 210 mm as compared to 150mm ride height seen on the regular V90. It also receives 5th generation Borg Warner AWD as standard. Interiors are luxurious with high level of connectivity and entertainment features while infotainment system includes a high-end Bowers & Wilkins sound system. A 12.3” touchscreen touchscreen infotainment system on the center dash takes care of music, camera display, navigation, and connectivity.
Engine specifications on board the V90 Cross Country for India will be in the form of a 2.0 liter diesel engine generating 235 hp power and 480 Nm torque. In India, only one variant will be on offer, and that is the full loaded D5 variant with AWD.
Volvo V90 Cross Country is produced at the company’s Torslanda plant in Sweden. Already launched in Europe, the new V90 Cross Country for India will be positioned between the already launched S90 sedan and XC90 SUV.
