VW Ameo bookings to open on 12th May 2016, 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel on offer

VW Ameo is set to be launched in India during the month of June 2016.

Volkswagen India showrooms will accept bookings for the sub 4-metre compact sedan Ameo from May 12, 2016 onward. VW Ameo will get power from a 1.2L 3-cyclinder MPI and 1.5L 4-cyclinder TDI engine.

The new sub 4-metre compact sedan is available with segment first features like static cornering lights, cruise control and rain sensing wipers. The german automaker is undertaking a 17-city roadshow for its made in India and made for India carline, Volkswagen Ameo.

The multi-city roadshow will get underway on May 12, 2016, and continue through July 2, 2016. The roadshow will be held in the following cities: Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Delhi, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Cochin, and Mumbai.

The roadshow gives customers across 17 cities an opportunity to experience the new compact Ameo before making bookings before launch. Ameo bookings will be undertaken at all VW dealerships. Prospective customers can access vehicle details from an exclusive mobile application and the Volkswagen corporate website.

VW Ameo world premiere happened earlier this year in India. The 1.2L 3-cylinder MPI and 1.5L 4-cylinder TDI engine offerings are fitted with dual front airbags and ABS as standard fitment across variants.
