UM Motorcycles India has released a video of the Renegade Sport S cruiser performing a burnout. The objective of the video is to let the audience know how the cruiser sounds like.
The UM Renegade Sport S world premiered at last year’s EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The cruiser went on sale in India earlier this year along with two other Renegade variants.
The entry level cruiser targets young audience who are looking for a more premium alternative to the Bajaj Avenger 220. It features an attractive headlamp cowl, slender fuel tank, enclosed radiator grille, alloy wheels, pseudo air intake, black cycle parts, and a removable color-coordinated pillion seat cover.
The motorcycle is powered by a 279 cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which is mated to a 6-speed transmission to dish out 24.80 bhp at 8500 rpm. The cruiser has a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres and tips the scales at 172 kg.
The cruiser employs regular telescopic front fork and twin coil-spring rear shock absorbers. Braking is taken care of by a 280 mm front disc and a 280 mm rear drum.
The UM Renegade Sport S is made in India at local partner Lohia Auto Industries’ manufacturing plant. It will also be exported to several countries from India.
