The new Ray Z automatic scooter is similar to their existing Ray. Yamaha Motors currently sells about 10,000 units of Yamaha Ray per month while they have set targets of about 5,000 units of their new Ray Z.
One can say that the Ray Z is a Ray with new color options and stickers (see image above, credit OverDrive). The colors are expected to catch the attention of male buyers. Ray Z will possess the same 113 cc four stroke motor found in the Ray. The automatic scooter is already on display at company dealerships across the country.
Ray Z will offer mileage of 53 kmpl (claimed, ARAI) and will possess a meter visor, carbon patterned seat and meter but will be specially introduced with the male buyer’s preferences in mind. Technical updates will include a new CVT, carbon assembly and frame besides enhanced suspension and will come in three colors red/black, black and white/black. To differentiate the Ray Z from Ray, the former will sport graphics and will come in a matte finish.
