Yamaha LMW and Resonator 125 retro concepts to be unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show 2015

Yamaha LMW three wheeler concept

Yamaha will have 20 vehicles on display at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015 out of which 6 will be world premieres.

The Yamaha LMW (Leaning Multi Wheel) Concept and Resonator 125 are two of six world premieres from the brand at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. The brands 4Wheeler sportscar concept will also be pulling the crowd towards the manufacturer’s stall.

The teaser image of the LMW three wheeler concept shows a more sophisticated version of the 01GEN concept. The immediately noticeable difference between the two Yamaha three wheeler concepts is that the LMW employs dual-telescopic suspension mounted on the outside of front wheels while the o1Gen has its telescopes mounted on the inside.

In terms of design, the LMW appears to be larger, lower and wider than the older three-wheeler concept. Everything else about the concept is under the wraps as of now.

The Yamaha Resonator 125 compact retro motorcycle features a 125 cc single cylinder engine whose power figures are not revealed yet. Designed to inspire the younger generation to start riding, the lightweight motorcycle features chrome body work which are complemented by panels made of authentic wood grain which is used in making guitars. The designers have also used an engraving technique that is used on wind brass instruments to make the fuel cap and muffler more artistic.
