The Movistar edition of Yamaha R15 and R25 is seen in racing blue while its logo sports the tag “Semakin Di Depan“. Semakin Di Depan is the spirit of Yamaha Indonesia, which means “One Step Ahead”. Tech3 edition receives a black colour scheme with brand logos such as Monster Energy and Motul.

Engine specifications on the Yamaha R15 include a 149.8cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, four stroke, fuel injected engine offering peak power of 17 PS at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 15 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox. R15 is built on a Deltabox frame, is equipped with disc brakes both at front and rear and weighs a total of 131 kgs. Yamaha R25 special edition is priced at 30 million Indonesian Rupiah. (INR 1.45 lakhs)

Yamaha R25 SE on the other hand is also limited in number and priced at 53 million Indonesian Rupiah (INR 2.53 lakhs). It sports no changes in mechanics as it is powered by the same 250cc parallel twin cylinder engine offering 36 PS power at 12,000rpm and 22.6 Nm torque at 10,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed transmission.

Yamaha R15 and R25 are amongst the best selling Yamaha motorcycles in Indonesia. On the other hand, in spite of having a huge market in India, Yamaha has still not launched the R25 in the country, this in spite of the fact that they imported a R&D unit back in 2013. Latest rumours suggest that Yamaha India will not launch R25 in India, but will get the R3 later this year.
