Yamaha India will pick 30 lucky winners from the pool of R3 customers who book their bikes before November 10.

With the growing Indian two wheeler market, automobile companies are coming up with innovative marketing activities. Yamaha has announced a contest that gives 30 lucky Yamaha R3 owners a chance to ride with Moto GP rider Jorge Lorenzo at Buddh International Circuit.

The eligibility criteria for the contest is to purchase the fully faired compact sportsbike before 10th November, 2015. Yamaha will arrange the lodging and boarding of all the 30 winners (selected by lucky draw). Only the logistics expense is to be paid by the winners. You can register yourself at the Yamaha India’s website and the company will provide further details. The event is expected to take place in the first week of December.

Yamaha R3 made its debut in August 2015 amidst much fanfare at INR 3.25 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It went on to clock sales of 140 units and 256 units in August and September respectively which are impressive considering the price tag.

The Yamaha R3 is priced at INR 3.25 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The R3 is propelled by a 321 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that produces 42 PS and 29.6 NM of torque. The potent motor is mated on 6-speed gearbox. The bike weighs 169 kg and has a 14 litre fuel tank.

Suspension system is composed of front telescopic forks and rear monoshock. Both wheels are retarded by a disc brake each but ABS is not on offer even as an option.
