Honda Brio Amaze, the all new Brio based sedan from Honda has been unveiled for the first time publicly at the 2012 Thailand Southern Motor Expo. Apart from revealing the production variant of Brio Amaze, Honda Thailand also revealed a sportier version with Modulo accents. Launched around 10 days back in Thailand, the Brio Amaze is a sub 4 meter sedan, specially designed and built for the car markets in Thailand and India.

In Thailand, Honda has launched the Brio Amaze petrol sedan between a price range of 454,000 THB to 523,500 THB, which according to today’s currency conversion rates, is equivalent to Rs 8.19 lakhs to Rs 9.39 lakhs. This when compared to cars in the segment, especially the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, with which the Brio Amaze will compete, once launched in India, is pretty high, and that too for a petrol variant.

But Honda India states, that localization will bring the price of the car down considerably, and expect a price of Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 8 lakhs for the Brio Amaze diesel sedan, once it is launched in the Indian auto industry next year. Honda India has also stated that they will manufacture the state of the art new diesel engine at their facility in Rajasthan. Jazz and City will also get the diesel mill by 2014.
