Hyundai’s latest offering in a sub 4 meter compact sedan segment is called Xcent. This compact sedan is based on the Grand i10 hatchback and was unveiled today at a special event held in New Delhi’s Taj Palace Hotel.

Catering to the changing needs of buyers in India, Xcent will be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engines and has been inspired by Hyundai’s Fluidic Design Concept. Designed to appeal to a select set of Indian customers who are ambitious and desire higher value, comfort and performance from their vehicle, the new Hyundai Xcent offers various segment first features while with its dynamic and sporty profile displays a modern and progressive stance.

Feature highlights on board the new Xcent will include rear AC vents for added comforts at the rear, Key-less entry and push button start/stop, a well designed instrument cluster, chrome door handles, diamond cut alloy wheels and a steeply raked windshield.

Interiors are spacious, offering sufficient head and leg room to driver and passengers while seating is done up in striking colors of beige and black. Seats are well contoured offering comforts especially for long distance travel while rear arm rests are also present on the new Xcent.

Designed for modern and contemporary Indian buyers, Hyundai Xcent expected to hit markets in March this year, will be manufactured from the company plant in Chennai. Once officially launched in India, it will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki DZire, Honda Amaze, and Ford’s new Figo sedan. Hyundai has not revealed price of this new sedan but has confirmed that pricing will be competitive.

Hyundai is yet to reveal dimensions, mileage, and price. Engine options will be the same as that in Grand i10. Scan through the hi-res image gallery of Xcent below.
