International Bicycle and Fitness Expo edition one

The 3 day International Bicycle and Fitness Expo is expecting 1 lakh visitors to provide to manufacturers, dealers, and importers from Europe, China, Japan and Taiwan a platform to interact with focused customers with higher visibility. At the inauguration, Vijay Sampla (Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment) said the expo was organised with international standards of quality. He appreciated initiatives undertaken to promote cycling and contributing towards a cleaner environment.

Guest of Honor Anil Kapoor (Actor and Producer) spoke of his happy and healthy lifestyle, having realised the importance of fitness long before joining the film industry. He stressed on physical activities helping get in shape, as well as, make us mentally strong.

2015 International Bicycle and Fitness Expo is showcasing high end bicycles and fitness equipment priced between Rs 10000 – 200000. The Expo is hosting bicycle stunts each hour, and a seminar for cycle dealers on accessories and multispeed gear fitment, alongwith demos.

Hero Cycles stall is located in Hall No. 7E. Pankaj Munjal, Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Hero Cycles Ltd said 2015 International Bicycle and Fitness Expo is a first for the Indian cycling and fitness industry wherein players of varied yet interlinked industries have gathered.

Anil Khurana, Managing Director, ADA Expo and Events says as a growing number of Indians living in cities take to cycling for varied reasons, cycling clubs have mushroomed on social networking sites. Bicycle companies are focused on this niche growing segment of recreation bicycles. Premium and lifestyle segment CAGR growth is projected at over 30 pct, estimated to be reach over 2.5 lakh units annually.

All India Cycle Manufacturers Association (AICMA) reports with influx of international bicycle brands in India, most Indian bicycle manufacturers have expanded their base in professional and recreational categories in metros. Product range has grown far beyond the occupational bicycle.

Cycling Federation of India reports Indian bicycle industry as one of the most established industries in India with annual sales upward of 20 million bicycles. India is the second largest bicycle manufacturer in the world, after China. India is the third largest exporter of bicycles. Hero Cycles, Avon Cycles, Atlas Cycles, TI Cycles, Hero Ecotech and Fire Fox Bikes have stalls at the International Bicycle and Fitness Expo.
