Kawasaki India reveals 2015 price list, Z800 cheaper by Rs 55,000

Kawasaki Z800, which was launched at a market price of INR 7.9 lakhs will now be available for INR 7.35 lakhs till end of financial year in March 2015. The Japanese two wheeler maker has slashed prices of this model in the Indian two wheeler market following price reduction in Thailand, where this model is manufactured and imported to India. The company has however ruled out reduction in prices of its other products that are produced from its Japanese plant.

This new price update is surely going to attract more buyers to the Z800.

Kawasaki Z800 is powered by an 806cc liquid cooled, in line four cylinder engine offering 113 PS power at 10,200 rpm and 83.0 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six speed transmission.

The current reduced price of Kawasaki Z800 makes it around INR 30,000 cheaper than Triumph Street Triple that is priced at INR 7.65 lakhs. More powerful by 34 PS and 30 Nm over the Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Z800 is currently the cheapest in line four cylinder model on sale in India. However, this is in for a change once the Benelli TNT 600i from DSK Motowheels launches in the country.

Below is the updated price list of Kawasaki motorcycles which are sold as CBUs in India:

Kawasaki ZX 14R – Rs 16.9 lakhs,
Kawasaki ZX 10R – Rs 15.7 lakhs,
Kawasaki ZX 10R (SP C&G) – Rs 15.9 lakhs,
