Mahindra Mojo new spy shot suggests launch nears

Mojo was first introduced in 2010 and launch was slated to happen in 2012. But for reasons unknown, the project was seemingly shelved. But Mahindra brought the Mojo back with up-to-date attire and parked it in their stall at Auto Expo for everyone’s joy.

Mahindra Mojo as per what was seen in Auto Expo, features flush-set twin headlamps in front head dome, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) embedded inside headlamp assembly, turn indicators fastened onto front dome fairing, instrument console bearing digital speedometer and analog tachometer, and inverted forks on the front end of the bike.

Taking a step backwards, one can notice the reworked knee recesses on the fuel tank that forms a harmonious combination with the rest of Mahindra Mojo’s anatomy. Below the tank, Mahindra’s signature strokes are seen; flowing golden bars taking horizontal path to the rear. Seats on Mojo have a slender step marking the border of rider’s and pillion’s seating territory. Split grab rails allow pillion to remain in control when Mojo launches into power mode. LED tail light is mounted on well crafted mud guard.

As previously stated by Mahindra, Mojo will be powered by the same single cylinder liquid cooled 295cc engine. The mill features Dual Over-Head Camshaft (DOHC) and SI fuel injection technology to deliver 28 PS max. power at 8,000 rpm and 25 Nm peak power at 6,500 rpm.

Mahindra Mojo will offer sporty handling to riders, thanks to trending rear mono shock similar to rivalling bikes. The Pirelli sport demon tyres on Mahindra Mojo will be stopped by disc brakes on front and rear as well.

Mahindra has come out with climbing charts in two wheeler sales last fiscal and now the company may in all confidence launch the Mojo with compelling price tag to pit it against KTM Duke 390.
