Motley Crue Final Tour presented by Dodge
In Los Angeles earlier this week, Motley Crue announced its ts Final Tour, and signed a formal âCessation of Touring Agreement,â effective at the end of 2015. The iconic rock ân’ roll band who have played together for over 30 years celebrated the announcement with performances on ABCâs Jimmy Kimmel Live (Tuesday) and CBS This Morning (Wednesday).
The âFinal Tour,â presented by Dodge and produced by Live Nation kicks off in North America July 2 in Grand Rapids, Mich.igan. The tour reaches 72 markets before going to international cities in 2015. Alice Cooper will joins Motley Crue as a special guest.
“Whenever I talk to people about Motley Crue, the common thread is how cool and relevant the band remains even after 33 years,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “This irreverent ‘staying power’ resonates deeply with the Dodge brand as we turn the corner on our 100 year anniversary. What better way to celebrate the band’s final tour and the 25th anniversary of ‘Kickstart My Heart’ than to do it together?”
Dodge has used Motley Crue’s âKickstart My Heartâ in three 30-second commercials for Charger and Challenger, âUncle,â âDream Jobâ and âEngine Noteâ on Youtube.
âWhen it comes to putting together a new show we always push the envelope and thatâs part of Motley Crueâs legacy,â explains Nikki Sixx (bass). âAs far as letting on to what weâre doing, that would be like finding out what youâre getting for Christmas before you open the presents. We think in an age of too much information, weâd like to keep some surprises close to our chest until we launch the Final Tour.â
