This model is touted to be the most dynamic Honda Civic ever.

What previews the 2016 Honda Civic here, is a design study, but many features of which would pass on to the production model. While mellowing it down, some of the attractive elements of this Civic Concept will indeed be replaced with relatively mundane looking components, but like the recent Civic Type-R, the essential design DNA in the preview prototype will be carried forward to the assembly line. One such highlight that may not make it to mass manufacturing would be the flamboyant tail lamp arch crawling along the perimeter of boot-lid.

The Chief Exterior designer of the Honda Civic Concept, Guy Melville-Brown, calls the model ‘charismatic, connected and athletic’, and also ‘simple, emotional and sporty, yet timeless’.

Since it will be based on an all-new platform, 2016 Honda Civic is expected to be larger than the outgoing model, with no less thrill to drive.

John Mendel, Executive Vice President of the American Automobile Division of Honda Motor Company, expressed that this is the most refined, stylish, dynamic and most technologically advanced Civic ever.

Specs and features of the production model this Honda Civic Concept previews are not disclosed, but the car would be loaded with latest version of connected apps, equipment and safety bits. As for drivetrain, a short-shifting six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT is anticipated.
