The teaser you see above, claims to be that of a TVS Apache facelift. It says that the Apache facelift will launch soon in India. The Apache teaser reveals features like integrated racing speedo console, Michelin dual compound tyres, parking indicator, mobile charger, Astra gold sprocket, side stand indicator, under seat mobile charger, liquid cooled engine, horizontol gas canister monoshock suspension, and intelligent ABS sensors.
Wow. Thats a lot of features, which will wipe the smile off the face of competition. But there is one problem. TVS never revealed this teaser. Looking like an official teaser, we almost fell for it, like other blogs. But then there was something very fishy about the teaser, more like a “Déjà vu” moment. We have seen this image earlier, some time in the past. And then it struck us, it is in fact an actual TVS teaser which was shared back in 2012 (see below).
But this reason was not solid enough. A company can modify the same teaser to tease a facelift. Anyways, the other reason we didn’t believe authenticity of this new teaser – Why it didn’t appear on TVS Motor Company’s official social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. And if it was a leaked teaser, why there was no watermark from source, which is the norm these days.
This was enough for us to be suspicious. After a phone call and an email exchange with TVS official, the air over the above teaser’s credibility was crystal clear. This is what was stated by the official in a mail to Rush Lane – “The image shared by you is totally fake and it seems someone has done excellent job with Photoshop.”
For those TVS fans who got excited after seeing the teaser, there is no need to be sad. TVS is definitely working on a more powerful Apache , but the teaser above is not the one you should be waiting for.
