TVS Motors confirms two new motorcycles for 2015 launch
TVS Motors Company Limited gears up for relaunch of the now discontinued Victor and a new sportsbike.
TVS Motors reported a 14% increase in sales in April 2015 and registered total sales to the extent of 195,937 units as against sales of 171,897 units recorded in the month of April 2014.
Noting increased demand for two wheelers, the company recently launched the new Phoenix 125 commuter motorcycle in India with a price tag of INR 51,990. The company now gears up for re-launch of updated TVS Victor and a new sportsbike, sometime later this year
First launched over a decade ago, and their best selling motorcycle in that time, 2015 TVS Victor will come in with all new features and a host of updates as the company eyes an even bigger market share. TVS Victor has been spied on test on a number of occasions and is said to sport a 110cc EcoThrust engine that also powers the Star City+. Victor will be offered in the premium segment and will be positioned between Star City+ and Phoenix 125 where pricing is concerned. No details have been revealed by the company, but premium features, outstanding design and a host of new age updates will be available on the new TVS Victor.
Apart from the new Victor, the one which is more exciting is a new premium sportsbike. This is the new motorcycle which TVS has developed in association with BMW Motorrad. Spied already on test, this new bike is codenamed K03. It will be a naked street bike, very much like the KTM Duke series. It will have a powerful 300 cc engine with fuel injection. Front and rear tyres will get disc brakes with ABS. Price range is expected to be in the Rs 2-2.5 lakhs segment.
