First launched in India back in August 2014, A3 is the most affordable sedan on offer from Audi. At the time of launch last year, Audi India introduced four variants – Attraction, Premium, Premium Plus and Technology. Of the four, only the Premium Plus variant was offered with petrol 1.8 TFSI engine, while the three other options goto 2.0l TDI. The same 1.8 TFSI petrol engine is now introduced in the Premium variant.
Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium variant is now on offer at all company dealers across India. It is seen with enhanced sporty features set to attract the youth in the country. Sporting well designed exteriors, interiors abounding in comforts and on-board infotainment, the new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium rides on 40.64cm cast aluminium alloy with 15 spoke “Y” design wheels. It also sports electrically adjustable ORVMs while Halogen lamps and Light/Rain Sensors are also a part of its exterior package.
Interiors of Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium are seen in Regatta Leatherette / fabric upholstery in choices of Black, Chestnut Brown and Pashmina Beige. Interiors receive leather wrapped multi function steering wheel and transparent inlays in 3D look. The new Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium also receives a lighting package and electronically adjustable driver seat.
Infotainment on board is via Audi music interface, Bluetooth interface and voice dialogue system and MMI Radio. Special attention is paid to safety features on board Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium with rear parking aid, efficiency program in Driver Information System, start/stop function and Rough Ride Suspension. On board safety is further enhanced due to the existence of 7 air bags, anti slip regulation, electronic stabilization control and anti theft wheel bolts.
Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium features S tronic dual clutch transmission, inspired by the one which was developed for Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race. The vehicle is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds, and is one of the most powerful cars in the segment.
