VW Polo features list is expected to be upgraded later this month.

In an attempt to counteract the newly launched Honda Jazz, Volkswagen India has updated its premium hatchback Polo’s features list. VW Polo features list (top-end variant) will now include electrically foldable wing mirrors, cruise control and cooled glove compartment. All of these features were first introduced in Vento facelift which was launched earlier this year.

Mechanically, the hatchback will continue to offer one diesel and two petrol (in two states of tune) motors. The base 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol motor develops a modest 75 PS and 110 Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed MT while the GT TSI’s 1.2-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine pushes out an impressive 105 PS and 175 Nm of torque when mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The 1.5-litre diesel motor is available in its 90 PS/230 Nm avatar on regular variants and in its 105 PS/250 Nm guise under the hood of range-topping GT TDI variant. A 5-speed manual unit is a standard transmission option.
