2016 Auto Expo is all-set to take place from February 5-9, 2016 in Greater Noida. It will see a total of 80 new vehicle launches. The show is slated to draw 7 lakh visitors while 1,500 suppliers from 20 countries will be showcasing their latest technologies.
The 5 day show which is being organized by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Components Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will be spread over an area of 80,000 sq meters across 18 halls.
There will be 900 Indian companies and 600 international exhibitors with 7 international pavilions from China, Canada, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and U.K showcasing an array of components. The show will also see live demonstrations, advanced technologies, garage equipment and ‘Passion for Innovation’ competition for engineering students. ACMA will be holding an Asli Nakli show with special focus on use of counterfeit products.
Among the auto companies participant in the show will be Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra, Hyundai Motor India, Honda Cars India, Tata Motors, and Audi among others while new entrants in this year’s show will include Jeep, Polaris, and Italian motorcycle maker Benelli.
New Cars on display will include the Datsun Redi-Go production version, codenamed Datsun12 as on date. GM India will be showcasing the Spin MPV while Honda Cars India will have the new BR-V on display with launch planned for later this year.
Maruti Suzuki will show off the Ignis which was also on display at the Tokyo Motor Show and Renault India’s new Duster facelift will be revealed. Tata Motors Hexa will be seen for the first time in India. The Zica based compact sedan will make its market launch towards mid 2016. Toyota Innova will be shown while the company has also confirmed that the 2016 Prius will be making its official debut at the 2016 Auto Expo.
