2016 Ford EcoSport rendering suggests all-new exterior design
Thus far, there is no official indication regarding a revisal of Ford EcoSport‘s exterior design, to this magnitude. But it is indeed refreshing to see a new face on a car that is commonly spotted on the streets.
Taking inspiration from Ford Edge, 2016 Ford EcoSport facelift is tried with a highly conspicuous front grille that is flanked by new headlamp design that progressively narrow toward the opposite edges. But the hexagonal grille in 2016 EcoSport rendering is not as imposing as the Ford Edge’s quadrilateral unit. Resultant free space on lower corners of the front bumper is filled with L-shaped trim that will bracket the fog lamps. All these changes have influenced other minor detailing on the American crossover.
As widely known already, EcoSport facelift will not carry the spare wheel on its back. Hence, to retain the rugged appeal at the posterior, Ford has already reworked the rear profile, which they have revealed on Ford EcoSport S, unveiled at 2015 Geneva Motor Show. We are talking about the new rear bumper highlights, that largely includes the beefed-up cosmetic scuff plate finished in silver colour. This was done, as lack of tailgate mounted spare wheel gave room for number plate to be moved up to the centre of the door, making the old space an opportunity for some creativity.
