2016 Mahindra Quanto facelift has been testing for quite sometime now and these latest spy images reveal that the front fascia of the upcoming refresh has undergone significant design overhaul. The new headlamps are larger and appear to have LED daytime running lights above them.
The signature Mahindra grille with vertical slats has now become sportier and the new bumper houses secondary and tertiary air intakes in addition to circular foglights. The bonnet features a scoop like in Scorpio.
Seems the designers have concentrated only on overhauling the front fascia to enhance road presence as the profile and rear of the car are left untouched. Previous spyshots of Quanto facelift indicated that interior design and layout too have been retained without much of a change.
Quanto would continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder twin-stage turbocharged diesel engine. In its current state of tune, it produces 100 bhp and 240 Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The facelift would introduce a new 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
Mahindra is expected to launch 2016 Quanto during the festive season (September – November, 2015). The UV will co-exist with new Mahindra U301 (mini Bolero).
