2016 Porsche 911 Carrera facelift officially revealed before Frankfurt debut
Facelifted Porsche 911 Carrera makes its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show being held from September 17 – 27, 2015. Sporting various updates, 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera will be seen with new headlights with four point daytime running lights, restyled wheels and new door handles besides a new engine cover and revised tailgate with four point brake lights.
Boasting of enhanced performance as well, the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera receives a new twin turbo 3.0 liter six cylinder engine producing 370 PS power and 450Nm torque for the Carrera. On board the Carrera S, power and torque increase to 420 PS and 500 Nm, an increase of 20 PS and 60 Nm as compared to its predecessor.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph on the 911 Carrera S Coupe can be accomplished in 3.9 seconds while reaching a top speed of 308 kmph. Fuel efficiency is also improved by 1.0 liter per 100 km to now offer 7.7 liters per 100km (12.98 kmpl).
Interiors abound in safety and infotainment features with a new Porsche Communication Management System (PCM), a 7” display with multi touch gesture recognition and Apple CarPlay compatibility. This state of the art navigation system also receives Google Earth and Google Streetview integration while a new smartphone tray is on hand, integrated into the central armrest which also acts as a charger while optimizing mobile phone recognition.
Options on board 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera include optional automatic speed control system to apply brakes when pre set speed is exceeded, optional Adaptive Cruise Control with coasting function and optional Lane Change Assist warning drivers about cars in blind spots.
