Renault Duster receives its first major facelift ever since it was launched in 2012.

For those who have been waiting for the new Duster, there is some good news. Unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, 2016 Renault Duster AMT will soon be launched in the Indian market. And by soon, we mean as early as next month.

2016 Renault Duster AMT in its facelift avatar be powered by a 1.5 liter dCi diesel engine. This engine is capable of 110 PS and 248 Nm torque. The AMT gearbox will also feature creep function which will make driving in traffic jams a lot relaxing.

Apart from this, there will be two more variants on offer, one with 1.5 liter 110 PS mated to 6 speed MT and the 1.5 liter 85 PS mated to five speed MT. The former will be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 drive system. AMT will not be offered with the 85 PS variant.

2016 Renault Duster AMT facelift will get a large chrome grille in the front, stylish headlamps and a sportier bumper design. It will also get faux skid plates and fog lamps along with flared wheel arches fitted with 16” alloy wheels. Chrome finished door handles, wing mirrors and wide windscreen will also be evident on the Duster facelift.

Interiors of the Renault Duster facelift get refreshed with a dual tone colour scheme in black and grey or beige as per variants. A new instrument cluster, gear shift indication, central console and central arm-rest have been added while interior space will be at a premium along with a host of storage spaces, cup holders and cubby holes.

Safety, performance had handling is enhanced on the new Renault Duster facelift with the inclusion of features such as ventilated disc brakes in the front and conventional drum brakes at the rear. It gets ABS with EBD, brake assist, driver seat belt warning, central locking system and top end variants receive dual airbags, hill start assist and anti-slip regulation besides rear parking sensors and ESP.
