2016 Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive has been spied ahead of a probable festive launch in the country. Showcased earlier this year at 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida, Burgman 650 Executive without ABS is a part of the Suzuki Burgman range which comes in a variety of engine sizes.
New Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive is powered by a 638cc liquid cooled, twin cylinder engine with DOHC and Suzuki Fuel Injection mated to a Suzuki Electronically-controlled Continuously Variable Transmission. This transmission offers two fully automatic drive modes of Drive and Power and also includes a Manual Shift model operated via a rocker button on the handlebar.
Spied at Buddh International Circuit sporting a Indian red number plate by a reader, it is noted that the new Burgman 650 sported telescopic form with oil damper and coil springs. It also receives twin disc brakes in front and single disk brakes at the rear along with 120/70-R15 M/C 56H tubeless front tyre and 160/60-R14 M/C 65H tubeless rear tyre.
The 2016 Suzuki Burgman measures 2,265 mm in length, 810 mm in width and sits on a 1,585 mm long wheelbase. It possesses 125 mm of ground clearance and 755 mm of seat height while kerb weight stands at 278 kg. Fuel tank capacity stands at 15 litres.
On board features include an electronically adjustable windscreen, power folding rear mirrors and heated handle-bar grips along with heated seats. Special lumbar support for rider and back-rest for pillion rider were also evident on the model on test while an under seat storage with 50-liter capacity was ample to fit in two full-sized helmets.
If launched this year, it will be the first of its kind in the category in India. Competition to the Burgman 650 will be from upcoming Peugeot moto-scooters, which Mahindra plans to introduce next year.
