The spy shot of 2016 TVS Apache instantly brings the TVS Draken Concept to mind.

2016 TVS Apache receives the same 5 spoke alloy wheels, front mud guard design and petal discs from Draken Concept, confirms the new spy shot.

2016 TVS Apache

2016 TVS Apache closely resembles the TVS Draken Concept showcased at 2014 Auto Expo. The new Apache also sports split seats, again borrowed from the Draken Concept. There are however a few points of difference between TVS Apache and Draken Concept as the TVS Apache receives new rear view mirrors and headlight cowl while the boomerang style LED tail light has been replaced with a more traditional style tail lamp.

Also new to the 2016 TVS Apache is its conventional silencer with upward pointing end canisters. TVS Apache receives inverted telescopic fork in front and monoshocks at the rear while it is yet to be ascertained if the company will be including ABS as an option.

As far as engine details are concerned, there is no solid news yet, but considering that the new Apache is heavily inspired from the Draken; it could receive a very similar engine which was seen on board the Draken. This will be in the form of a 250cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine offering 38.5 bhp peak power and 23 Nm peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6 speed transmission.

Once launched, the 2016 TVS Apache will find many competitors in its segment that include KTM Duke 390, Kawasaki Ninja 250, Honda CBR250R and Mahindra Mojo among others.
