A new 90 PS version of the 1.0-litre petrol engine joins the lineup.

2017 VW Up! city hatchback has been introduced at the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor Show alongside the T-Cross crossover concept and Polo Beats. The small car gets a more powerful petrol engine variant and a whole array of visual and feature upgrades for the new model year.

A number of 2017 Up! variants are on display in three equipment lines, different colors and variants – eUP and Up TSI. While there is isn’t much change in the Up! bodywork, visual enhancements have been achieved by using new exterior color options, dash pads, new seat fabrics and decorative decal designs.

The updated version also offers smart phone integration which allow’s users to access navigation, music and vehicle data through mobile. A 300 watt Beats Audio system is available in a special variant dubbed as “Up! Beats“. The system packs in 7 speakers, promising to offer excellent music experience.

The 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which has been available in two states of tune – 60 PS and 75 PS – will now also be available in top-of-the-line 90 PS TSI avatar. 5-speed manual or DSG are the transmission options. The 2017 VW Up! is also available with CNG and pure electric (eUp!) powertrain options.
