2018 Honda Activa i and Aviator launched – Gets more stylish with updates

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has launched 2018 editions of Aviator and Activa i scooters in India, both of which are focused on added comfort, style and convenience. 2018 Honda Aviator is priced at Rs 55,157 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the new Activa i carries a price tag of Rs 50,010.

2018 Honda Aviator gets new color options of Pearl Spartan Red (new) along with three existing colors of Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Amazing White and Matte Selene Silver Metallic and is offered in three variants of standard, alloy drum and alloy disc.

It sports a revised instrument cluster, metallic exhaust muffler, LED headlamp and position lamp and a 4 in 1 lock with seat opener switch. It also gets a retractable front and rear hook and a host of body graphics.

The new 2018 Aviator does not see any change in engine specifications and continues to be powered by a 109cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine offering 8 bhp power at 7,000 rpm and 9 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm mated to a CVT unit. It gets tubeless tyres and 130mm drum brakes at both ends while Combi Braking System is offered as standard.

2018 Honda Activa i gets five new colors of Candy Jazzy Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, Lush Magneta Metallic, Orchid Purple Metallic and Mat Axis Grey Metallic. It also sports new body graphics, a revised instrument cluster and metallic exhaust muffler along with a front storage hook. Features also include a 4 in 1 ignition, tubeless tyres, and maintenance free battery pack and under-seat storage of 18 liters.

Engine specifications include a 109.2cc Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine offering 8 bhp power at 7,000 rpm and 8.74 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm mated to a CVT unit. Considerable reduction in overall weight from 110 kgs to 103 kgs has allowed the 2018 Honda Activa i to be more fuel efficient than its earlier counterpart.
